Our professional relationship began in the early 1990s. We are highly experienced and respect each other’s integrity and client focus. Working together for so long and building such strong client relationships over that time, has demonstrated the rewards that maintaining high ethical standards can yield.

We offer unbiased and unrestricted investment management. We take the time to listen and deliver client needs with empathy. We offer a service and not a product. We stick to our speciality, which is investment management, and we only give clients what they need.

The team has learnt a great deal from their history, which moves with an enduring focus on standards through the corporate evolutions at Albert E Sharp, Capel Cure Sharp and Gerrard and latterly, navigated the Brewin Dolphin Oxford office, established by the trio in 2006.

Chris Meecham

Chris Meecham

Chris is an experienced investment professional having worked as an investment manager for 30 years. He enjoys meeting and advising clients as well as following markets and managing client portfolios.

Between 2007 and 2017 Chris was head of Brewin Dolphin’s Oxford office, and prior to that, a Divisional Director of Gerrard, Albert E Sharp, and Brown Shipley in Oxford. Chris graduated with a 2.1 in Energy Technology and Management and then went straight into finance. He started his career at Quilter Goodison in London in 1987 just in time to experience the sharp fall in markets in October that year.

Chris is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and manages portfolios for private clients, trusts, and companies as well as pensions and charities, and he has particular experience working with solicitors and accountants to manage trust portfolios.

Chris is an Oxford local. He grew up in Milton-under-Wychwood and went to Burford School.

Outside work, Chris enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling and the occasional game of sports.

Hans Price

Hans Price

Hans entered the world of investment management through the door of the traditional stockbroker Albert E Sharp, in 1994. Over the next few years he gradually progressed from an International Settlements clerk to Head of the International Dealing & Settlements department. It was a dynamic and enjoyable time, but a liking of people and a desire for more human interaction was the catalyst for study and an eventual change to the management of discretionary and advisory private client portfolios in 1999.

Hans manages a wide range of portfolios for individuals, trusts, companies, pensions and charities, and works very well with trusted financial planners where required. Hans has a focus on building meaningful long-term relationships. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

A divergent hairstyle makes it relatively easy to spot Hans running about town or around the countryside near his home. With three sub-three-hour marathons for Woodstock Harriers which he is invariably eager to talk about, it is probably best never to ask.

Equally dangerous is the subject of Real Tennis. There are only 45 courts in use in the world today, one of which we are privileged enough to have in town. Oxford University Tennis Club’s court in Merton Street is the second oldest in England and Hans plays there as regularly as he can, although he enjoys each game far more than his achievements in the field might suggest.

Jeremy Harben

Jeremy Harben

Jeremy graduated with a degree in Financial Services and began his career at Jupiter Asset Management in London. Having gained valuable experience of the fund management industry, a desire to be more client-facing resulted in a move to Gerrard in 2001 and the completion of the Securities Institute diploma. Following an eventual takeover of Gerrard by Barclays, Jeremy moved to Brewin Dolphin in 2006. He joined forces with Raymond James in 2017 to ensure that he could continue to offer clients a highly personalised and bespoke service.

Jeremy manages portfolios for private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is also experienced in working with Independent Financial Advisers and their clients. Jeremy has developed an extensive knowledge of investment trusts, which is reflected in client portfolios where appropriate.

Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, but is often looking for an excuse to jump on his road bike. He is a rugby union fan and keen supporter of Northampton Saints.
